CNOOC subsidiaries in Australia participated in the APPEA 2015
The Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) is the peak national body representing Australia’s oil and gas exploration and production industry, it hosts conferences each year to gather leading oil companies in the world to exchange ideas and contribute to the development of the industry’s latest policies. CNOOC NWS Private Limited (hereafter as CNOOC Australia) along with five other CNOOC subsidiaries participated in APPEA 2015 from 17th to 20th May in Melbourne .
CNOOC Australia was invited to be the very first Chinese oil company to deliver a keynote address at the conference. Managing Director Mr. Yongfeng Lu presented a speech that illustrates CNOOC’s vision and success of its businesses in Australia.
At the exhibition, CNOOC’s stand came under the spotlight of representatives from across the industry. Several oil companies and professional service companies paid their visit to CNOOC’s stand, expressing their interests in sharing the Australian market with CNOOC in the future.
The map at the centre of the stand featured two major projects that shows CNOOC’s investment and contribution in Australia, the centre piece was accompanied by ‘Data of CNOOC’ on the side panels to further present CNOOC’s comprehensive strength. Together with the participation of CNOOC Gas and Power Investment(Australia), COSL, COOEC and CNOOC EnerTech, CNOOC Australia was able to present CNOOC’s ability of engineering and service in relation to oil and gas exploitation activities, confirming the overall strength of the brand CNOOC in Australia.
